My Journey In Life

I’m just like you, but I got lucky and stumbled into the amazing world of digital marketing! Here is my story...

As a kid...

Growing up as an only child with a single parent, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. They were the embodiment of creativity and free-spirited living. My grandfather, an artist and entrepreneur, transformed an old school bus into a cozy, livable home. When I was 10, I spent every school holiday and most weekends traveling with them to different towns for craft markets. I loved helping them set up and sell their unique artworks and trinkets, and seeing the joy it brought to people.

Those experiences planted the seeds of entrepreneurship in me, even though I didn't realize it at the time. These were my favorite memories, laying the foundation for my entrepreneurial future. Back then, I dreamed of traveling the world and spreading joy, but life had other delightful plans. I became a chef, got married, and raised my children. Yet, the desire for freedom and adventure never left me.

Then the entrepreneurship bug bit me...

In the most unforeseen way, life took a dramatic turn for us. A relocation back to our home country and a health crisis turned my husband into a long-term patient, altering our lives forever. I needed to be a full-time caregiver for him and keep our family afloat. I considered turning my culinary skills into a home business, but nothing seemed practical.
During the COVID years, my then 7-year-old and I taught ourselves the art of candle making. We created a Shopify store and started a Handcrafted scented candle boutique. However, I struggled to leverage it and attract customers. I ended up spending more on monthly subscriptions and paying another company to create ads that weren’t effective. Unfortunately, this became unsustainable too. Then one day, while scrolling Instagram, a post about making good money with just a few hours on the phone at home or anywhere caught my eye. Skeptical but intrigued, I dug deeper and discovered the beauty of Digital Marketing...

Then I tried all the things that, well, didn't work...

Like many aspiring entrepreneurs, I faced my fair share of failures. Not understanding true digital marketing and the skills it takes to really make money online was the first roadblock. I invested much-needed money in courses, spending hours trying to comprehend and apply them, only to be met with frustration and disappointment. These courses offered no real knowledge or value because I didn't know what I needed to know to begin an online business. These setbacks were disheartening, to say the least, but they taught me invaluable lessons about resilience and adaptability. I kept researching...

Finally, I cracked the code!

I used social media to create engaging content, optimized my website for search engines, and built an email list to nurture leads. The results were astounding. My client base grew rapidly, and my revenue soared. I realized the power of digital marketing to reach a vast audience and convert interest into sales. This success story was not just a fluke; it was the result of strategic planning, consistent effort, and leveraging the right tools.
